Aeronauts hot airbaloons

Scene 2 were comissioned to make these lovely hot baloons for the premiere of the film Aeronauts released in november 2019 . The baloons were featured on the red carpet at the premiere in London west end Odeon cinema Leciester square .

Iworking with the scene 2 team we created the baloon from a silcone mold then layered with fibreglass and filled and sanded to perfection.

the 12 baloons 11 small and one large were then sprayed to create the striped detail. the larger baloons is made of fabric stretched over a large ball inside.

the paintwork is sprayed on with intricate masking to create the create the striped detailing . baskets and other string are all handmade .
